show examples of "JIGGING THROUGH THE HANDLE PINS."
This "usually" means, made in Pakistan.

I agree a cleaver, or some kind of kitchen knife that is a cross between a cleaver and chef knife. That blade looks like Damacus, which probably means it is not real old.

It's curious to me that there are no pins at the blade end of the handle as there are at the butt.
Is it ground to shape and not forged?
