Information please
I have a 1992 Schatt and Morgan, red stockman with ,1 of 100 NSBC 1992, on the blade! Anyone that could give me any information on who and where this is would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Information please
One meaning of NSBC is "National Safe Boating Counci". Maybe it's a commemorative for them? Though a Stockman would be an odd pattern for boat use.?? Like to see a pick. J.O'.

Re: Information please
This is one of those times where universes come together.
For an entirely different post I was searching for "Droescher" - found what I was looking for but then searched our forum for fun and clicked on this, what are the chances that NSBC comes up again in such an obscure search and within 40 or so mins of eachother - cool!

Re: Information please
Thank you SwedgeHead, the Schatt & Morgan I have is #1 in the series, so I wanted to contact the club and offer it to the members before I put it on the open market!

Re: Information please
I believe the "1 of 100" means that it is 1 out of 100 made. Not necessarily that it is serial # 1. All 100 knives would have that same blade etching "1 of 100" on it.

Re: Information please
If I knew how to put a photo with this message it would be a lot simpler for me, but the blade has
1 in 100 NSBC( in red letters) 1992 , on it with 001 on bolster! I beleave it to be #1 in a series of 100 commemorative to the club !
So I was hoping to contact one of the members to see if any one would have an interest in it before selling it on the open market!

And that makes sense with the bolster marking now.

Re: Information please
Nice, yes indeed it would be the first one then. The blade saying "1 in 100" means that total 100 were made. But the serialized #001 on the bolster confirms it is the original first one. Great knife!BuddyRo81 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:50 pm If I knew how to put a photo with this message it would be a lot simpler for me, but the blade has

Re: Information please
to be clear, the “001” is on the shield and not the bolster, good looking knife and very kind of you to offer it to the club membership first although based on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/share/16SXfidz ... tid=wwXIfr) I’m not sure your knife fits into their current membership tastes. Things evolve after 32 years.

Interesting the small blade shows 043 150. What’s that?

I see the Kalishnakob in there. Is 1967Redrider a member of there's?

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

I want to say that djknife13 (Dave) was a member of that club but I could be wrong - he lives in that neck of the world and may know something about their current tastes.

Re: Information please
That is the Schatt & Morgan model number for that knife. The numbers can be deciphered as followed:
The model # 043 150
04 = handle material, in this case bone
3 = number of blades
1 = main blade profile, in this case a clip blade
50 = knife pattern, in this case a stockman
