Remington R3963

Post by OLDE CUTLER »

I just finished up a rehandle on this nice old Remington Acorn R3963 serpentine stockman knife with awl. The bone handle material was broken off under the acorn shield on the mark side and was completely gone on the pile side. It was recovered with Culpepper Crimson Catalina bone and the acorn shield reattached. This was a top of the line knife back in the day with nickel silver liners.

Great save!
The Crimson Catalina is an excellent choice for that knife!
