ebay gone nuts

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

ebay gone nuts

Post by rigwelder »

they just cancelled 37 auctions, a buddy of mine bid on 3 auctions and won one for like 19.00, out of about 40 auctions i had about a month ago. ebay suspended me for two weeks, id like to ring somebody's freakin neck! they said it was shill bidding.

bummer, there is a lot of shill bidding on ebay that the power sellers get away with. who reported it as shill bidding?

i dont know? i know it sounds bad when a neighbor wins a auction. but thats simply what it was. he tried to buy some that i had done listed. so i told him if he wanted them, go bid on them because i wasnt ending the auction! next time, i'll just end it and sell the knives. He lives like 10 miles south of me, but where we live. thats a neighbor!

That is really incredible since one individual who is infamous on this forum and others has been reported to eBay for obvious shill bidding many times and yet they have done nothing to him. The bottom line with eBay is they like to make money no matter what the cost. Their policy as far as condemning shill bidding is a farce and they have no real intentions of enforcing it. As long as the dollars continue to roll in, they are happy. I have friends of mine in the Wolverine Knife Club who ask me when I'm going to put an item on eBay so they can hopefully win it cheaper. I also have repeat bidders who bid on knives and I control over who bids or wins. Big Don Don, was a consistent bidder for a while, but has since gone on the wagon I guess. I have lost a considerable amount of money on eBay and it certainly can ruin anyone thinking they can sell for a profit with all of their fees.
