108OT with Delrin scales and Sterling Silver shield

Post by Micah 1974 »

Looking for some info on this 108OT I picked up. I’ve never seen one with Delrin handles that has the sterling silver shield? I’ve only seen them with the red bone scales. Anyone else seen this before. Thanks in advance.

I have not seen that combination, either. It works, though. Probably just another end of days knife. I believe they made those "rope border" shields in both nickel silver and sterling silver.

Guess it’s possible it’s an end of days knife but this one has a Schrade Walden stamp. So it’s an earlier Oldtimer.

Those shields did not exist in the Walden years so it was installed much later by someone, probably not at the factory.

Well I’m a dummy. I just picked this knife up today and I haven’t cleaned it up yet. Just cleaned the tang a little and it’s not a Schrade Walden it’s a Schrade NY USA.
