An Early Uncle Henry Display

Picked up an old Schrade Walden Uncle Henry display recently and FINALLY got around to cleaning everything up and re-assembling it.It was all original and never taken apart, so there was a decent amount of mold on the sheaths and bad tarnish on the bolsters. I found that the trapper (285UH) was #00067! and judging by the numbers on the other knives figured it was put out around 1969, when only these four models were available, making it the first Uncle Henry display set (not THE first set, just this particular four knife configuration). Got a confirmation from Larry over ar Collectors of Schrades R Us.com from an add from that year as well. Here are some shots. There's a 127UH, 285UH, 897UH, and 165UH. The 127 and 897 came out first, both in stainless, followed by the 165 and then the 285, both of these in high carbon steel (the 285's were later changed to stainless):

I understand from one of LT's history lessons that Schrade's ' Guarantee Against Loss ' was a financial drain for the company. They should have had more customers like me. I always managed to hold on to the knife until I could no longer find the paperwork.
