Kershaw Knives

Kershaw began its foray into the knife business sometime during 1974. The company was originally based in Portland Oregon, but most early knives were manufactured in Japan. The first US manufacturing plant was opened in 1997 & the company currently offers knives made in the U.S., Japan, & China. Pete Kershaw (an ex Gerber salesman) started the business.

Kershaw Knives

Post by WelderBob »

I picked up this nice set of Kershaw's this weekend and was wondering when they were made...Well built knives and very sharp! Locking blade on one end and slip on the other.
4" Two blade #2050 By kai...3 1/4" Two blade #2010 By kai...2 5/8" Two blade #2001 By kai...3 1/8" Pipe knife #2003 by kai.
I was thinking they were made mid 1970's, but not sure...also curious about the blade steel...Not to wild about modern style knives, but these are well made...Didn't kai make knives for Al Mar ?
Any information will be appreciated....WB
