I found one for “crown stag.” viewtopic.php?f=34&t=61233 and one for “Stacked Stag”.

So this thread is for pictures of the “regular” non crown non stacked stag handled fixed blades. If you got em show em.

Here are my two Randall’s with stag handles. One was a present when I got my Journeyman plumbing license the other for getting my Masters.

They make a nice set. The model 21 Little Game is for “delicate cutting”. The model 19 Bushmaster is very stout for heavy cutting.

Great idea!! I grew up with all these German hunting knives and so called " Fahrtenmesser"...just about every one had a beautiful stag handle....me living near a fully stocked cutlery shop and retailer...naturally all my early Birthday wishes where of course a stag knife....getting older I started making ( trying) lol... knives and of course my first choice handle material was stag!! There is, at least in my mind nothing finer than a knife handle made from stag!! The color, the feel and the looks...it's just something special!! I just came out of my shop, finished a large Bowie knife....and you never guess what handle material I used...lol
Really enjoying this thread!!...

Beautiful stuff there, good work, excellent pieces. Great seeing any stag really. I'm with you. Hard to beat it.

Found this old Whaler at the OKCA show in Eugene, OR last month and wanted to show it. Great old stag and the experts there figured this knife was made about 1880-1910 for a best guess. Nice stamp on the blade too. The old thing has great snap, great smooth but strong action. The click is amazing and the feel is good. Nice craftsmanship back then in England.

Bought the moss agate blade online and put some nice Elk stag on it for a handle. Turned out decent. I like the native American motif and materials. Although to set the handle I used Liquid Nails and waxed twine, no pine pitch or sinew here.

Ah thanks my friend, appreciate that. Found a very nice piece of stag at Oregon Antler Works. They will give you groovy, bumpy, gnarly, smooth whatever. And reasonably price. Love the texture and the purchase you can get when you grip this baby. Sticks to your hand like good stag does. Thanks again.
