That’s why I figured I would try one. I wish I would have narrowed the face a bit and pointed the chin a bit more but but I’m generally happy with it.

After carving a few coworkers my buddy said what about you? I carved a caricature of my self to put up with the rest of the work crew.

Just finished up this Bufflehead decoy of the wood, wire, and canvas construction. The crackle finish antiquing technique I use on this is quite laborious, in the end there are 8 coats. It is kind of like being a knuckle ball pitcher, you never know what the results of your efforts are going to be. lol

Got sent a 2x2x6 block of Bass wood with the newest knife I just bought from Bestgear(Tom) so I cut it out, carved it and sent it back his way. Here is the finished project.
