That's nice, Dog, looks like a Kershaw 1070 Trooper, but I'd bet not nearly as expensive. ::hmm::

P.S. - I wasn't trying to stir the pot with my comments about the mysterious J Garcia, it just seemed that with what the subject was he couldn't be the same guy! ::shrug::

Finding great comfort in having an American legend by my side.

Well, on top of my knee, which is being iced and elevated. If i look at the right angle I can pretend we're both on a boat at pictured rocks shoreline on Lake Superior.

Also, the only known use for frozen broccoli

Can't ever go wrong with a trusty ole' Buck 110/112 on your hip, TWKG, yours looks like it's performed it's duties well so far.
I was going to comment on how nice and refreshing the water looks, and ask where it is located, but I then read on to find it's only a picture. It still looks pretty nice! Whenever I see green water surrounded by those red clay cliffs, I'm reminded of my old days drinking and partying at the local gravel pits.
I'm with you on the broccoli, bro, up until a few yrs. ago, I couldn't even look at broccoli, it looks like an alien creature to me, but then someone served it to me boiled just a little so as to leave it vivid green and firm and crunchy as opposed to soggy, and covered in melted cheddar cheese, and I was immediately converted.
Thanks for sharing!

I thought about posting in the edc thread, but the other day I went back and read your original post. I didn't really understand the theme of this thread until I did that. As a stay at home Dad most of what I post should actually be here, I now realize. There's not much reason to pocket this guy (a Schrade Lb7) and the 2 others not in the picture, other than personal gratification. The cutting demands of an afternoon on the couch are minimal.

I took that picture from a boat a few years ago. Eerily deep and green like the waters of the local quarry filled in. There's one nearby called Red Granite that I frequented in my youth. Too young to drink, publicly, at the time. But we'd show up in rough shape hoping to wash and swim away all the yuck feeling. ::mdm::

I thought it was lake Mead for a second before reading your post. I used to kayak on lake Mead and it brought back good memories. ::nod:: My knee has been hurting too ... I am going to try your "Comfort Therapy" so to speak, except I will be using a Buck 110... ::hmm:: I hope it works! ::pray::

What you just described, bud, is my life EXACTLY, cept' no kids to watch, and I wouldn't give it up for a Grail knife, I enjoy taking a nap or just lazing on the couch whenever I feel like far too much, and I always have the day's CK beside or with me at all times providing me comfort, admiring, handling, click therapy (my autos) , or just plain old feeling it in my pocket rubbing up against my thigh! It's almost beginning to sound sexual, yikes!

Perhaps I should have clarified myself a bit, I too was underage when we had bush/gravel pit parties, although we arrived in similar shape as you described, but my intention was to get more trashed than I already was, ever try Molson's Calgary Ale 18% alcohol, well, I have, but only once! I didn't even make it out of the bush that night, woke-up in the A.M. in a puddle of...??? ::shrug:: , then saw where I was and started walking home! I really don't get how anyone can call those, "The good old days!" ::facepalm::

We're glad you've found your way here, buddy, sounds like it's a good fit, so feel free to post the knives that bring you comfort, however that may be! ::handshake::

Good to be here Marco.

Yesterday I made the little lanyard during some waiting time out in the world, so this combo actually got to ride around in a pocket.

Once back at home though they're now in their emotional support roles. Then i had them all out so we did family photos with the cousins.

Its a Precise Deerslayer Nugget and a Jet-Aer G96 990.

Then the nugget with its brother, a regular Deerslayer.

Then the G96 fam. A 960, 965 and 990 again.

Japanese brass and wood has been my go to lately. The 960 I fished out of the shallow end of the bay. Fixed it up and made a replacement badge.

I've another coming in the mail... ::paranoid::

My plan was to buy it Monday so the anticipation would keep the monkey at bay. It's worked, but too well. The seller is putzing and hasn't even mailed it yet! :x

Monkey not pleased. The weekend is long.

Great group of great knives, buddy, I have about 6 knives that are very similar in shape, but I don't know their brands cuz I haven't got to attending to them yet. I got them cuz I was looking for a Buck to be represented in my knives, and their shape was close enough for me, whatever brand they were. Your information should go a long way to helping me identify some or all, so thanks for the names and model numbers. It's possible I have models you posted today, I'll find out when I check.
The one sitting on the $50. bill is pretty cool too, reminds me of butterscotch! ::hmm::
And your lanyard in my favorite colors purple with black is awesome!

EDIT: It seems I owe you an apology, buddy, I've been mistaking some of your Schrade knives for Buck knives. It's what come from only being interested in big, heavy, and shiny, and I apologize. ::handshake::
