Beautiful bench, Wade! Good to see the old hand tools being used. Those Stanley router planes are the most fun and satisfying tools to use, in my opinion. You will get many years of satisfaction, utility, and most importantly - memories - of projects from the bench.

Thanks UNK. I agree I love using my router planes. I guess my other all time favorite is a spoke shave. They’re fun.

Thanks Glenn, but I’m not sure it’s nice enough to be called fancy. I just got tired of my makeshift table top on sawhorses dancing around on me while I was sawing or chopping mortises.

Made a walking stick from an Ash tree limb on my place. I took it down to my buddy who owns a trophy shop, and he laser-engraved a cross on it. I forgot to take some pictures of it after it was cut to length, sanded, and finished with tung oil before it left my shop, but he sent me a picture of it with the cross. This is for an auction at our church next month.

My walking stick wound up going for $600 at the church auction (same price as my walnut bowl last year). The bids go high due to it being an auction to raise money for the kids activities. My old High School team mate and College room mate bought it for his 96 year old father. Glad he wound up with it.
