CASEXX 3254 Trapper converted to single blade

Post by wildcat »

A friend asked me to re-cover this trapper. It had yellow delrin covers and one side was terribly sun faded. I chose to use some Purpleheart wood that I had on hand. While I had it apart I decided to convert it to a single blade. I was able to make another knife from the spey blade that is covered in Cocobolo. I did mess up the pivot hole on the bolster. I thought i was gonna be slick and just quickly hit the hole with a drill bit to knock the burr off. Well the bit dug in and made a nice big chamfer. ::dang:: Peening the pin didn't quite fill it in.
