I certainly do. If I were to tuck away my collection in a box or drawer, unable to see the knives, I would feel deprived.

I live in a studio apartment, and where you see the darker area in my bottom picture is the bedroom with 1/2 walls, and the rest of the room is my small living room with attached kitchen, but since I'm always in the living room in front of the TV I just turned it into my "Man Cave", so my knives taking up all that wall space was part of the plan. The wall with the knives is one of the 1/2 walls, and since there are 3 other full-size walls to accommodate pictures or other wall hangings, I find I have plenty of wall space, and as you said, my knives are easily seen by anyone who enters the room, and provide easy access for me. Hope this helps you understand my thinking on the matter! 8)
Mark that display is awesome. would certainly give a burglar second thoughts I bet !

LOL! ::rotflol:: Good one Nick! I have all my autos and manuals displayed just to the right of what you see in the pic, so hopefully I would get to one of those before an intruder! Or, I could grab my 17 1/2" G/H bowie off the wall, as I'm positive that would cause 2nd thoughts! Fortunately, I live in a very secure building, so I needn't really worry about intruders. Good hearing from you again! ::handshake:: 8)

My knife for the day is this Schrade SS105 slip-joint Melon Tester that is 10 3/8" oal/SS drop-point blade with n/n, brass liners pivot and pins, and cream-colored ABS covers. Weighs but 1.5 oz.'s, and arrived sharp. Displays Schrade Imperial etches and stamps. Excellent walk n' talk, and fit n' finish is perfect. A very handy inexpensive folder that can accomplish many tasks around the house! 8)

I just spent a couple weeks remodeling my man cave ( spare bedroom) and had my knives packed in a tote under our bed. It was surprising how much I missed looking at them everyday. Gave me more incentive to get done quicker.

That's a cool knife Mark. Been looking at getting a Colonial version for my little collection but have not found one yet. Plus I need to build more shelf space.

You looking for something like this, Nick? It's the only one I've seen with a full serrated blade. It's near mint, so shoot me a PM with your address,
and I'll send it your way. I have a few Schrades and others, so I'll pay this one forward since this is such a great site, and a few members have done the same for me.. Have a great day.

Wow TMK! You're gettin' Thumbs-up's ::tu:: left and right from anyone who reads this, and rightly so! I know I was blown away by a gesture made toward me not too long ago, and you're displaying the same kind of selfless giving that was shown to me. I'm dealing with a recent death in the family and my mind is clogged-up with all sorts of things, and I thought I wouldn't have time to participate on-site, but I wanted to post a new knife I just received and as soon as I logged-in my mind cleared and I was able to relax a bit from all the things running over and over in my head. Your description of this being an "Oasis" is spot-on, that's exactly how it feels, thanks! ::handshake:: 8)

Thanks Marco. Sorry to hear about your loss.
I have always found "knife guys" (women too) to be some of the most down to earth people that I've come across.
They are some of the most helpful with their knowledge that I have ever run across, and this site is the best I've
found. The world is too divided now in so many ways, I figure that all I can do is try to be a decent person, and if
that makes things a little better for someone, then that's great. I've always found that I get it back many times over
in one way or another.

Your "Comfort Knife" thread has been great. Like I said, it struck a chord with me, and it looks like many others also.
Hang in there my friend!

This one just arrived today from Mark at SSk, and in the short time I've had it it's become my favorite knife! It's a Mcusta Bamboo designed linerlock that measures 6 1/2" oal/ VG-10 drop-point blade with dual-studs, 33 layer Damascus SS body that's shaped like a split piece of bamboo, an adjustable blue anodized pivot, a single SS liner, and secured with screws not pins. Has an exact weight of 3.3 oz.'s, and is the sharpest knife I've yet to handle. It bears Mcusta markings, and was built by hand in Seki, Japan. Mcusta knives come with an oiled-washer system which provides silky-smooth opening/closing, and the fit n' finish is 1st-Rate. Handling this model has renewed my interest in acquiring their 8" version, but at the current price I'll need to wait awhile for it to come down. I'm fondling my new knife right now, and likely will for the rest of today, and maybe longer! Thanks again Mark for the long hold and teriffic price! 8)

Hey mate.

Truly sorry for your loss Mark. I absolutely know what it's like mate, my Baba went home last summer.
The ache is still there, it will always be, and so it should.

Least I have my Lord's comfort, in knowing that she's in a better place now.

So, if you need someone to talk to mate, I'm here for ya bud.

Your description of this being an "Oasis" is spot-on, that's exactly how it feels, thanks! ::handshake:: 8)

Thank you so much Willy. I very much appreciate your consoling words, and your offer. Should I feel the urge I won't hesitate to take you up on it. 8)

Mark, hang in there man !
TMK great post ::tu::
It’s a comforting place here , thanks to many .
Take care out there you all .
