Comfort Knives!

I certainly do. If I were to tuck away my collection in a box or drawer, unable to see the knives, I would feel deprived.

That was a very fast reply Marco. I think each knife hanging independently is unique. It certainly enables high visibility and easy access. I suppose some people would balk at using so much wall space, but that wouldn't be me.

I live in a studio apartment, and where you see the darker area in my bottom picture is the bedroom with 1/2 walls, and the rest of the room is my small living room with attached kitchen, but since I'm always in the living room in front of the TV I just turned it into my "Man Cave", so my knives taking up all that wall space was part of the plan. The wall with the knives is one of the 1/2 walls, and since there are 3 other full-size walls to accommodate pictures or other wall hangings, I find I have plenty of wall space, and as you said, my knives are easily seen by anyone who enters the room, and provide easy access for me. Hope this helps you understand my thinking on the matter!

LOL! Good one Nick! I have all my autos and manuals displayed just to the right of what you see in the pic, so hopefully I would get to one of those before an intruder! Or, I could grab my 17 1/2" G/H bowie off the wall, as I'm positive that would cause 2nd thoughts! Fortunately, I live in a very secure building, so I needn't really worry about intruders. I just spent a couple weeks remodeling my man cave ( spare bedroom) and had my knives packed in a tote under our bed. It was surprising how much I missed looking at them everyday. Gave me more incentive to get done quicker.

I have always found "knife guys" (women too) to be some of the most down to earth people that I've come across.
They are some of the most helpful with their knowledge that I have ever run across, and this site is the best I've
found. The world is too divided now in so many ways, I figure that all I can do is try to be a decent person, and if
that makes things a little better for someone, then that's great. I've always found that I get it back many times over
in one way or another.

It's a Mcusta Bamboo designed linerlock that measures 6 1/2" oal/ VG-10 drop-point blade with dual-studs, 33 layer Damascus SS body that's shaped like a split piece of bamboo, an adjustable blue anodized pivot, a single SS liner, and secured with screws not pins. Has an exact weight of 3.3 oz.'s, and is the sharpest knife I've yet to handle. It bears Mcusta markings, and was built by hand in Seki, Japan. Mcusta knives come with an oiled-washer system which provides silky-smooth opening/closing, and the fit n' finish is 1st-Rate. Handling this model has renewed my interest in acquiring their 8" version, but at the current price I'll need to wait awhile for it to come down. I'm fondling my new knife right now, and likely will for the rest of today, and maybe longer! Thanks again Mark for the long hold and teriffic price!
