Great looking HOK, John, another stroke of luck finding that one, just like a needle in a hay stack/mound.

That's a fine looking knife, Kerry, ::groove:: the pumpkin not so much! ::facepalm:: What did you do, search the entire patch for the most deformed beat-up one you could find? lol!
A cool post nonetheless, buddy! ::handshake::

The blade was heavily rusted and spotted. After cleaning it up as best I could I forced a patina on both blades. To my eyes it looks much better now and I am happy to carry it. The blades now carry an impressive edge.

My dad, too, had better knives but he carried a Colonial peanut.
Your family's love for your dad will ease the sorrow.
God bless you and your family, garddogg.

My sincere condolences during your difficult times, Dogg, ::handshake:: You can draw comfort in knowing he's in a better place, and it's we who are still here continuing the search for happiness. And you have his knife to carry with you to draw your fingers across every now and then as you remember your Dad.
Happy Trails!
